Abstract

Developments in the manufacturing sector must not impede Occupational Safety and Health (K3) protections. Businesses in Surabaya that process palm oil use work permits to minimize workplace accidents in accordance with Government Regulation no. 50 of 2012 about Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (SMK3). Any task involving a substantial degree of physical danger must be accompanied by a valid work permit. Several sorts of high-risk labor are performed by palm oil processing enterprises in Surabaya. These include working at heights, in restricted spaces, with high temperatures, and with electricity. Work permits are still issued via a time-consuming and labor-intensive manual method, which is often seen as wasteful and ineffectual. It is often believed that technological progress is occurring at a breakneck pace. In our increasingly digital age, technology is advancing at a dizzying rate. The results in this research demonstrate the necessity of creating an electronic web-based work permit administration information system. Recorded paperwork and work permit registration will be made easier to obtain using this method.
