Pengaruh Variasi Massa Refrigeran Charge R 134a Pada Sistem Refrigerasi Dual Function Sebagai Water Chiller Terhadap Q Evaporator dan Q Kondensor
Main Article Content
Abstract
Dual function refrigeration system at fluid machinery laboratory of the Shipbuilding Institute of Polytechnic Surabaya is a refrigeration system in default use R 12. Currently the system has been retrofitted with R 134a to replace R 12 which has been banned. When retrofit process, the problem is unknown about the optimal mass of refrigerant charge in the system. So this project as been conducted as an experiment with several variations of the refrigerant mass charge in the system. The highest value of Q Evaporator (Cooling Effect) is 177.18 kJ/kg was obtained in water chiller mode with 8L/m flowrate of chilled water at 399.5 gram refrigerant mass. The highest value of Q Condenser (Heating Effect) is 233.25 kJ/kg was obtained in water chiller mode with 6 L/m and 7 L/m flowrate of chilled water at 470 gram refrigerant mass.
