Pengaruh Safety Leadership, Safety Knowledge, dan Safety Attitude terhadap Safety Behavior pada Industri Gula
Main Article Content
Abstract
The sugar industry has a complex production process using many machines and equipment. Each equipment and machine used, of course, each has different potential hazards. The existence of these potential hazards if not balanced with good safety implementation will have fatal consequences. One way to prevent this is by increasing worker’s safety behavior. Safety management system in one of the sugar industries in East Java was only formed in 2022, so safety leadership, safety knowledge, and safety attitude are also considered to be newly formed along with the implementation of the company's safety management system. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of safety leadership, safety knowledge and safety attitude on safety behavior using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) statistical method. PLS-SEM is used because the research model is complex with a relatively
small sample. From the research that has been done, it is found that all independent variables have a significant positive effect on safety behavior, namely safety leadership (p-value 0.003), safety knowledge (p-value 0.032), and safety attitude (p-value 0.001).
