Abstract
Market needs for freshwater lobster Cherax quadricarinatus have not been met. This creates a business opportunity for people who want to start a freshwater lobster business. Freshwater Lobster Cultivation (LAT) as a new form of investment opportunity in Indonesia is a new thing that has become increasingly popular with lobster commodity business activists both for decoration and consumptive activities since the issuance of Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation No. 56/PermenKP/2016 which prohibits fishing activities. Freshwater Lobster (LAT) is a fishery commodity that has economic value and is widely cultivated. Opportunities for creating freshwater lobsters as a fishery commodity are increasingly opening up as they become increasingly popular among cultivators and consumers, especially since freshwater lobsters also have advantages when compared to other fishery commodities that are already in operation. One effort that can be made to optimize the growth of freshwater lobsters is by providing fresh and consistent feed. This community service aims to find out the type of pipe and cultivation tank design that is appropriate and cost efficient in relatively narrow cultivation land installations or in urban areas. In order to produce the highest aquaculture production in freshwater lobsters. In this PkM, the researchers provided a design for a cultivation pond using 2 methods, namely the design of a cultivation pond and a lobster cultivation pond. The results of this research are the piping design used in the tank design, namely clean water piping by placing the pipe above the tank. This is done so that clean water circulation is optimal in the cultivation pond, while the prototype of the cultivator tank is designed using 3 levels of hollow iron frame material and tarpaulin walls, this is felt to be more suitable for installation in cultivation ponds which require limited land and are suitable for cultivating freshwater lobsters.
