CONAE - Community on Naval Architecture Engineering and Its Application

Proceedings of the 1st Conference on Naval Architecture Engineering and Its Application (1st CONAE) was organized by the Department of Shipbuilding Engineering, Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS). This initiative supports the development of the Ship Design and Construction Engineering Program (DC PPNS) by providing a platform to expand ideas, knowledge, and innovations in the field of ship design and construction.

The conference brought together distinguished speakers and experts in ship design and the maritime industry, which represent the core identity and expertise of DC PPNS. The event was conducted in the form of a National Seminar to support the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, particularly in facilitating the publication of undergraduate final projects.

Through the organization of the 1st CONAE 2023, participants were expected to enhance their knowledge and understanding of ship design and construction engineering. Furthermore, the publication of the Proceedings of the 1st Conference on Naval Architecture Engineering and Its Application (1st CONAE) was intended to support the accreditation process of the Ship Design and Construction Engineering Program and to encourage final-year students to publish their undergraduate final project research.
