Simulasi Uji Performa Propeller Saltwater Series II dengan Computational Fluid Dynamics

Abstract
Sistem propulsi merupakan salah satu sistem penunjang pada kapal, komponen penting yang terdapat pada sistem propulsi adalah propeller. Propeller Yamaha saltwater series II merupakan propeller dengan pitch 19” dan diameter 15,25”. Propeller ini memiliki putaran tinggi hingga mencapai 6000 rpm. Dikarenakan penggunaan propeller tersebut berdasarkan rekomendasi tanpa dilakukan pertimbangan performa propeller maka dilakukan pengujian propeller menggunakan metode computational fluid dynamics. Sebelum dilakukan simulasi terdapat proses pengukuran dan pemodelan propeller dengan mempertimbangkan aspek penting seperti luasan blade, sudut root, panjang root, sudut rake dan sudut skew yang digunakan sebagai acuan dalam memvalidasi kemiripan model dan realitanya. Setelah aspek penting tersebut terpenuhi, dilakukan simulasi uji performa propeller, hasilnya mendapatkan nilai thrust maksimum sebesar 131548 N, torque sebesar 14337,6 Nm dan efficiency maksimum sebesar 46,57%.
