Perancangan Sistem Informasi K3 Berbasis Website Responsive Monitoring Permit To Work Pada Perusahaan Pelayaran

Abstract

The design of a responsive, web-based OHS Permit-to-Work Monitoring Information System for a shipping company was driven by the continued use of a manual permit-to-work system, which has prevented the work monitoring process from operating optimally. This situation leads to delays in information dissemination, a lack of oversight by the central HSSE department, and the potential for miscommunication between the ship’s crew and company management. This is of particular concern, especially for high-risk tasks such as hot work, working aloft, confined space entry, electrical work, and engine and equipment repairs. The system design was carried out through the following stages: literature review, field study, collection of primary and secondary data, development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), system development, and usability testing using the USE Questionnaire. The developed system enables the submission, approval, and monitoring of permits to work to be conducted in an integrated and digitally documented manner, allowing the status of work to be determined more quickly and accurately. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the effectiveness of work permit monitoring, enhance coordination between ship crews and the central HSSE department, and support the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practices that are more orderly, transparent, and sustainable within the shipping company.
