Perancangan Ulang Workplace Transport Saftey pada Area Weighbridge Industri Pembenihan Jagung Malang dengan Metode HIRARC
Abstract
The Malang Corn Seeding Industry has complex internal traffic activities, involving the movement of operational vehicles, production transport vehicles, and workers in the same work area, thus potentially creating safety risks, especially in the weighbridge area (weighbridge) which serves as a control point for vehicle entry and exit. High interaction between vehicles and pedestrians, inappropriate vehicle positions during the weighing process, and inadequate traffic facilities can increase the possibility of work accidents and internal traffic incidents. This study aims to identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and design the implementation of transportation safety in the workplace in the weighbridge area. The method used is Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC), which is carried out through field observations, discussions with HSE Officers, and documentation of work accidents to obtain a comprehensive picture of existing conditions. The results of the analysis indicate that the weighbridge area still has a medium risk category level so that the design of safety facilities is needed which includes the construction of zebra crossings, pedestrian paths, and organized employee parking areas, the addition of automatic barrier gates on the weighbridge, and monitoring of safety signs. This design aims to separate vehicle and pedestrian traffic, improve traffic flow, reduce the potential for workplace accidents, and enhance the effectiveness of risk management in accordance with hierarchical control principles. Implementation of the design is expected.
