Identifikasi Bahaya dan Penilaian Risiko pada Methanator 106-D dengan Metode Hazard and Operability pada Perusahaan Pupuk

The Indonesian Pupuk Industrial Company is a company engaged in the production of fertilizers, non-fertilizers, chemicals and services in Indonesia. One of the by-products produced besides fertilizer is ammonia. In the process, methanation for the formation of ammonia requires a 106-D methanator as a fertilizer raw material producer. There is a potential deviation from process conditions and component failure in the Effluent Exchanger 114-C and Methanator 106-D which causes (high pressure, high temperature, No Flow, etc.). These potential hazards need to be analyzed, so they do not interfere with the production process, worker safety and the environment. Hazard identification using Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) aims to look for irregularities and carry out risk assessments on 3 study nodes in the operating system. The results of identification with HAZOP on methanators show that the potential for hazard deviation has 21 high risks out of 30 risks that occur. Then a risk assessment will be carried out and recommendations for improvements will be made to reduce the risk of failure and preventive action will be taken based on the hazard control hierarchy.
