The sootblower is a component in the boiler that is used to clean the soot that sticks to the surface of the wall tube pipes, superheater, reheater, economizer, and air heater. In the sootblower there is a component called the feedtube. Feedtube is a component that is useful for spraying steam which is then flowed through the lancetube. In the feedtube, interference often occurs, namely bending to cause cracks / cracks in the feedtube, this is because the temperature of the steam through the feedtube reaches a very high temperature of 400 ° C - 600 ° C. The feedtube sootblower material to be used is SA 312 type material which is classified as in stainless steel. In this test using 4 specimens, namely specimens 1 and 2 were taken from a point that did not experience cracks, while specimens 3 and 4 were taken from the point that had a crack, the yield stress value on the specimen of material that had cracked was lower than the predetermined minimum limit. by the standard, namely 197.2 MPa for specimen 3 and the yield stress value of 50.9 MPa for specimen 4 compared with the yield stress value of 276.3 MPa for specimen 1 and the yield stress value 445.7 MPa for specimen 2. As for the ultimate tensile strength value of all specimens taken from SA 312 material, it is still above the minimum limit specified by the standard, namely the minimum limit of 515 MPa.
