The shipping industry continues to grow along with the increasing demand for maritime transportation services. However, this growth also presents operational challenges, particularly for the Marketing & Sales Department of General Engineering and the Business Support Department. Based on data, the Marketing & Sales Department of General Engineering was only able to complete 104% of the 444% required tasks, while the Business Support Department completed 63.3% of the 513% required tasks. This imbalance indicates a workload overload caused by the high volume of tasks, both routine and additional, such as change orders, new requests, and technical obstacles in the work process. Measuring the workload using the Workload Analysis method showed that the capacity of both departments had exceeded normal limits. The solution was to add 2 employees to each department. This addition is expected to reduce the workload from overload to underload, resulting in a more proportional distribution of work and improving company performance.
