PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN PROYEK MENGGUNAKAN PROJECT MANAGEMENT BODY OF KNOWLEDGE 6

Abstract

This study aims to design a web-based project management information system that adopts the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) 6 in the Warehouse and Packaging Department of PT Petrokimia Gresik. The existing system previously relied on manual methods using spreadsheets and communication via WhatsApp, leading to delays in project status updates, miscommunication, as well as wasted time and costs. This disorganized process also increases the risk of errors in decision-making, which can affect the smoothness and success of the project. The proposed system, a web-based integrated project management system, is designed to improve the performance of project teams by providing more accurate, timely, and easily accessible information. By integrating the five project management processes and knowledge areas of PMBOK 6, the system will help monitor, control, and document projects more efficiently and effectively. Additionally, the system is expected to facilitate better collaboration among team members, speed up decision-making processes, and enhance transparency and accountability in project execution. With the implementation of this system, it is expected that PT Petrokimia Gresik can improve its project management performance, minimize risks, and achieve more optimal project results.
