ANALISIS PENGARUH VARIASI INTERPASS PADA PENGELASAN GTAW TERHADAP HARDNESS, METALLOGRAPHY, DAN FERRITE CONTENT PADA MATERIAL STAINLESS STEEL PIPE TYPE 06CR19NI10
Abstract
Many neglect welding parameters to pursue work targets, one of which is the interpass, so the research uses GTAW
welding with a current of 85A to determine the effect of variations of the interpass 150C, 300C, and 450C on hardness test
values, ferrite content, and metallography In the ferrite content test, it was found that the ferrite content value did not
increase significantly. In the hardness test there is no significant increase in the value of the base metal and HAZ . In the
weld metal area there was a significant increase in the hardness value with a higher interpass. Metallogprahy testing
obtained for macro the absence of defects such as slag inclusion defects, incomplete penetration, incomplete fusion or defects
that can be found in the welding area and seen for welding has good fusion and penetration. In the micro in the base metal
and HAZ regions for higher current variations there is expansion and roughening of the grains which is due to the large
difference in the current used. In the HAZ area there is a thickening of the grain boundaries at the 450°C interpass variation
due to precipitation of chromium carbide at 450°C.
