In the Marjan Gas Oil Separation Plant (GOSP) project, the piping system plays a crucial role in
supporting the crude oil production process. One of the pipeline routes classified as a critical line is
line number 42”-P-9042-3LE2P06 and 42”-P-8992-15LE2P06, which transports wild crude oil from
the Production Platform to the Tie-in Platform. This line is categorized as requiring detailed analysis
(C1) based on client standards and refers to DNV-RP-D101 and ASME B31.3. This study aims to
analyze the stress, flexibility, and loads acting on the nozzle using stress analysis software. The analysis
methods include calculations of the maximum allowable span between supports, pipe flexibility, and
stresses due to sustained, thermal, and occasional loads. The analysis results show that the smallest
allowable pipe span is 24.8 meters, and the minimum number of required supports is six. The pipe
flexibility value complies with ASME B31.3 requirements. Moreover, all analyzed stress values are
below the allowable limits. Therefore, the piping system on these lines is deemed structurally safe and
suitable for operation. This research contributes to ensuring the reliability and safety of piping systems
in offshore facilities.
