The issue of discrepancies in the elevation of the ground, foundation, and equipment locations
on the 18-inch steam pipeline with the line number 200-18-ST-0212-3C8A-H at the Ijen Geothermal
Power Plant Project in Bondowoso necessitates a redesign and stress analysis. This line is categorized
as a critical line due to its 18-inch diameter and a design temperature exceeding 215℃. occasional,
and thermal expansion. The analysis results show that the existing design exceeds the allowable stress
limit for sustained loads, with the highest stress value of 19512 psi on the 90º elbow (E12), which has
a ratio to the allowable stress of 114.1%. For occasional loads, the highest stress was found on the 90º
elbow (E14) with a value of 16377.7 psi and a ratio of 88.3%, although still below the allowable limit.
Meanwhile, for thermal expansion loads, the highest stress of 3813.8 psi is found on the 90º elbow
(E11) with a ratio of 11.1%, also still below the allowable limit.
