One oil and gas company is constructing an LNG storage facility. This study focuses on analyzing
the piping system connected to the flare and pressure vessel. The main objectives are to determine the
placement of supports, analyze the stress on the piping system, and evaluate the nozzle load on the flare
and pressure vessel. The methods used include calculating the maximum allowable pipe span, stress
analysis based on ASME B31.3, evaluating the nozzle load on the flare using API 537 criteria, and
evaluating the nozzle load on the pressure vessel based on company standards. The research results
indicate that this route requires a minimum of 6 supports with a maximum allowable pipe span of 102 ft.
In conclusion, the new pipe design is considered safe in terms of pipe support placement and complies with
applicable industry standards. This study provides the results of an analysis of the new piping system to
prevent pipe deflection and emphasizes the importance of technical analysis in ensuring the safety and
efficiency of energy infrastructure
