The growth of industry in Indonesia has resulted in a rising demand for chemical raw
materials to support industrial activities. therefore, the fpso marlin natuna forel project aims to
increase gas and oil production from the Forel Field located in the Natuna Sea. which has a pressure
vessel in it as a place for processing raw gas taken from the well. To prevent failure during operation,
the pressure vessel's Maximum Allowable Working Pressure (MAWP) and Maximum Allowable
External Pressure (MAEP) are calculated in accordance with ASME Section VIII Division 1.
Additionally, modeling and simulation are performed using software. Based on the calculation results,
the MAWP value was found to be 778.937 psi for the shell and 775.859 psi for the head. The MAEP
value obtained is 194,607 for the shell and 218,900 for the head. with these results it is expected that
the pressure vessel is able to operate properly.
