Abstract

The construction project of Dhoho Kediri Airport Aircraft Refueling Depot (DPPU) requires
a reliable fire fighting system, especially in the Avtur storage tank area which is classified as flammable
fuel. To ensure safety and comply with fire safety regulations, a fire fighting foam piping system was
planned. This research focuses on the hydraulic analysis of the fire protection system, which includes
the calculation of pump head, pump power, and determination of appropriate pump specifications. The
methods used included manual calculations based on NFPA standards. The calculation results show
that the results are reliable for designing an effective and efficient fire fighting system. The pump
specifications determined are able to meet the needs of foam distribution to the entire tank area, taking
into account pressure losses and system discharge requirements. This research provides technical
recommendations as a basis for implementing a foam-based fire extinguishing system in the DPPU
tank area.
