The fabrication warehouse in the industry serves as a production center and supports
production activities. This warehouse has several jobs that are prone to fire. Therefore, a fire
suppression system is required. The Carbon Dioxide (CO2) extinguishing system was selected because
it leaves no residue after the fire suppression process is complete. In designing the carbon dioxide
extinguishing system, calculations were performed for the required amount of CO2 media, flow rate,
number of discharge nozzles, and the creation of 3D and isometric designs in accordance with NFPA
12 and FIKE codes and standards. Based on the calculations, 5,748.41 kg of CO2 extinguishing agent
with a concentration of 34% is required, resulting in a flow rate of 1,977.45 kg with a discharge time
of 1 minute. The pipe sizes used are 3 inches for the main line, 2 inches for the cylinder connection
pipe, 3 inches for the manifold, and 1 inch for the distribution pipe.
