Abstract

The polypropylene project is currently in the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) stage, specifically for the service water system used for various process and domestic needs. Design planning is required for the piping route of the line service water system to tank 2D-1701. The length of the route to be designed from the pump to the suction tank is approximately 1 km. The pipe material used is ASTM A106 Grade B Schedule 40 with a diameter of 10 inches. Manual calculations yielded a head value of 34.7 m, while software calculations resulted in a head value of 35.8 m with an error percentage of 3.07% and a pump power of 21.19 kW. Based on the selection chart, the chosen pump type is a centrifugal pump of the Ebara 80-200/30 model.
