Abstract - The safe running of the piping system and equipment will be seriously affected by the strong vibration of centrifugal pump in oil transportation. The demage will get more severe if resonance occur between the pipe and the pump. Dynamic analysis was conduceted to determine how pump vibration affected the piping system. Modal analysis and harmonic analysis were used as the analytical method. Softwares for numerical simulation of centrifugal pump were also used in analysis process. A number of numerical simulation have been carried out and the results show that the piping system segment 2 experienced the highest vibration. Its natural frequency is nearly identical to the excitation frequency. Additionally, beat resonance was also occured in the existing design.
