Abstract

PLTU Tidore is a steam power plant with a capacity of 2x7 MW which is managed by PJB.
In the Ash-reinjection pipeline that connects the economizer hopper and the boiler bank hopper to the
furnace there is a flow blockage due to fly-ash that cannot flow to the furnace. This final project will
discuss the optimal desain to overcome the problem of blockage of fly ash flow that will go to the boiler.
There are 3 desains planned, namely by adding a venturi injector, adding a compressor and changing
the pipe diameter from 6 inches to 8 inches in diameter. The results of the calculation analysis carried
out, with the outlet pressure value in desain 1 of 33025 Pa, desain 2 of 240608 Pa, and desain 3 of
248885 Pa. From these calculations, desain 2 is the most optimal desain. Because with a pressure drop
of 60590.73 Pa and compressor pressure of 301325 Pa, air from the compressor can flow fly-ash to
the boiler.
