Design of the existing Discharge UF Backwash Pump piping line has a Vertical Loop that is directly connected to the pump discharge noozle so that the piping line must be analyzed for stress to ensure that the pipeline can be declared safe. Static stress analysis was carried out to determine stress of pipe and noozle load values that occurred using Caesar II software. The allowable pipe span line number P2GDR11BR002 and P2GDR12BR002 have value is 4.5 ft and the line number P2GDR11BR003 is 17.97 ft. The laying of pipe support for pipelines has also complied with the 6 rules for laying pipe support set by the standard. In the modeling of Caesar II to the three line numbers, the highest sustain stress values are 2721.3 psi, occasional 2721.8 psi and 2987.6 psi for expansion. The value of the three load cases does not exceed the allowable stress based on ASME B31.3. Based on the operation of the pump, the stress value is still below the allowable value based on the standard, so that the operation of the pump can be carried out by one operation and one standby, or both operations. For the noozle load section, the noozle load value is still below the allowable noozle load value so that the Discharge UF Backwash Pump with a Vertical Loop that is directly connected to the pump discharge noozle can be declared safe.
