Abstract

The Pipeline from ORF (Onshore Receiving Facilities) Semarang to Demak which
distribute the aroma of coffee gas at the time of line selection, the pipeline passes through critical
conditions, swamp areas and road crossing. This coffee aroma gas distribution pipe has a pipe
diameter of 12 inches, at KP.0+000-KP.0+050 the pipe passes through a swamp area, in this area
the value of the buoyancy force is 9397.75 lb and the downward force is 8439.3 lb. , the antibuoyancy ratio is 0.89 so that the pipe passing through the swamp does not meet the allowable, the
ratio must be greater than or equal to 1.2, therefore the addition of 6 Saddles on Weight then the antibuoyancy ratio becomes 1.22 with a distance between saddle and weight is 23,67 ft. at KP.0+050-
KP.0+100 pipes also pass through the highway. Analysis of three depth variations, the depth is 6,56
ft, 8,2 ft and 9,84 ft.The optimal depth is at a depth of 9,84 ft with an internal load value of 11220 psi,
a total effective stress of 13169.83 psi, a grit weld of 2970 psi and a longitudinal weld of 2715 psi.
this stress value has met the allowable on API 1102 (Pipelines Crossing Railroads and Highway) the
crossing method used is Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and the minimum pulling load value
is 7300.82 lb, based on calculations all are still within the allowed limits so that the pipeline that
passes through swamp area and crossing road is safe.
