Abstract

The Semberah Oil Plant Project is a new facility built to replace the leased facility, which
is designed with a capacity of 6000 BLPD & 1.6 MMSCFD. At the main facility there is an LP
Production Separator which functions for a 2-phase separation process that aims to separate gas and
liquid from the high pressure manifold. The vessel design is in accordance with ASME Sec VIII Div 1
with the thickness of the shell and ellipsoidal head of 0.5 inch. As for the maximum pressure on the
shell and head obtained 200 psi. Analysis of the stress using Ansys software obtained the lowest error
in meshing 2 with a von-messes stress value of 10541 psi with a 1% error percentage and the saddle
stress is still within safe limits with a stress value of 18054 psi.
