Abstract

The corrosion protection installation system is the most important part to protect the external load of
the pipe material, therefore it is necessary to design a corrosion protection installation in order to be able to extend
the lifetime of the pipe material. From the description above, in this final project will be conducted research on
corrosion control with the addition of corrosion protection on the external side, the variation of corrosion protection
used is HSS (Heat Shrink Sleev) coating, zinc anode cathodic (SACP), and a combination of HSS (Heat Shrink Sleev)
coating system + cathodic (SACP) zinc anode using NaCl (33ppt) and HCl (Ph 4.5) corrosion media, this study is
using immersion test method. The results of the tests that have been carried out show the lowest corrosion rate using
the combined protection of the coating system HSS (Heat Shrink Sleev) + cathodic (SACP) zinc anode, which value is
(NaCl media = 0.0148 mm/yr) (HCl media = 0.01695 mm/yr) yr), for the life time calculation results that have the
highest value are HSS (Heat Shrink Sleev) + cathodic (SACP) anode zinc coating with a value (NaCl media = 266
years) (HCl media = 260 years). Meanwhile, in the economic calculation, the protection that has the lowest value is
coating with a value of Rp. 34,928,145
