Abstract - The need for chemical raw materials for industries such as the soap and detergent industry is increasing with the development of industry in Indonesia. Therefore a factory was built to produce amine compounds. Inside the plant there is one area, namely the filtration area. In the filtration area there is one piece of equipment that plays an important role in the process of making amine compounds, namely VE-3003 (filtered product tank). VE-3003 is a vertical type pressure vessel that will be designed according to ASME Section VIII division 1. Several factors that affect the filtered product tank such as MAWP, MAEP are calculated manually. Result of minimum thickness calculation for shell and head is 0,650 inches. The result of MAWP of head is 163,629 psi, and shell is 162,741. Then the result of MAEP head is 52,945 psi and MAEP shell is 16,65 psi.
