Abstract

Risk-based inspection (RBI) is a method of analysis. By representing this RBI, it is necessary to carry out more effective and efficient checks because there are examinations that will be prioritized for higher risk instruments. In this final project, the equipment to be issued is an atmospheric storage tank. The RBI method used is semi-quantitative with approval of API 581. This study aims to determine the importance of the tool, the value of risk, scheduling, and inspection methods. right for the tool. From the analysis and calculation results obtained from this problem in category 4, and failure considerations in category E. Because this tool has a high enough risk because the fluid flowing above is sufficient enough with a high enough fluid flow. The type of inspection for this tool uses ultrasonic thickness measurement and visual inspection besides scheduling must also be done by looking at the price which is quite high. This is because the Inspection method is suitable for obtaining the required information in accordance with the damage that can occur in this tool.
