Horizontal Gas Separator is a pressure vessel used to separate production fluid into liquid phase and gas phase. The purpose of this pressure vessel is designed to increase the capacity of the gas plant from one of the natural gas companies in Sidoarjo. In designing this pressure vessel using ASME Section VIII Div 1 standard and for the piping design using ASME standard B31.3. The result of the design of the pressure vessel with material SA-516-70 at a pressure and design temperature of 600 psig and 200 ⁰F obtained a thick shell and head of 1,0625 inches. With MAWP shell and head of 718,512 psi and 731,655 psi. for MAEP on the shell and head of 200,697 psi and 304,977 psi. For pipe design using material A 106 B with a diameter of 8 inch Sch 40 during the manual calculation and CAESAR II software shows the sustained load. Therefore, from the results of manual calculation and CAESAR II software states that the piping system is safe when operating.
