Abstract

In Gempolkrep sugar factory there are Cogeneration Unit piping lines from High Pressure Steam Header to Back Pressure Turbine The pressure and temperature output of the Boiler that is accommodated in the high pressure steam header of 66 bar and 478 ° are very prone to expansion due to overgrowth load. In such conditions can also cause stretching, shrinkage in the pipeline and can cause displacement. In this condition also a critical line because it includes the criteria C so is necessary to do stress analysis by considering the thermal load and analysis using the software. In this analysis, the method of pipe stress analysis refers to ASME B 31.1 and uses the software of Software Stress Analysis The pipe Material used is Alloy Steel A355-P22 with base metal content (2.25 Cr, 1.0 Mo). Pipe thickness 0500" with diameter 10" and Schedule 60. The stress analysis using Software Stress Analysis against the load sustain obtained the highest load value of 11479.6 lb/in ², a thermal expansion load with a high value of 11258.4 lb/in ² and occasional load with a highest value is 11517.2 lb/in ². The stress result on the line is still below allowable standard ASME B 31.1
