Abstract

Pulsation on the PC-95-302 A / 302 B / 302 C / 302 D reciprocating compressor is a source of vibration that causes the magnitude of the vibration value. When running a test, with a compressor specification that has a frequency value of 50 Hz the vibration velocity value reaches 38 mm / s. Whereas the API 618 standard on Piping Design Vibration Criteria states that the safe vibration speed at a frequency of 10 Hz-200 Hz is 32 mm / s. Static and dynamic analysis using CAESAR II software includes stress analysis according to ASME B31.3 standard, nozzle load compressor refers to NEMA SM-23 standard, natural frequency with modal analysis method refers to API 618 standard. The analysis results show stress value exceeds ASME B31.3 criteria, the nozzle load value does not meet the NEMA SM-23 criteria, and the natural frequency value meets the API 618 criteria. After redesigning the placement support, the compressor nozzle load value still exceeds the NEMA SM-23 criteria so the design is still not acceptable.
