Penerapan FMEA dan Diagram Pareto dalam Mengidentifikasi Kegagalan Komponen Kritis pada Wheel Loader
Abstract
The development of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly and rapidly. Precast concrete manufacturing companies are manufacturing companies engaged in concrete production. In the concrete production process involves various heavy equipment, one of which is a wheel loader that functions to move the material loaded into the hopper for the concrete production process. The ability of this tool to transport large amounts of material is considered effective to support lifting activities that have a high frequency. To meet production targets, the process of making concrete often lasts almost all day without stopping. This condition is one of the main causes of the increased risk of damage or failure of machinery and equipment used in precast concrete production. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the components of the wheel loader in order to determine the results of the critical components. Determination of critical components is carried out using the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) method which is used to identify the failure of each component. FMEA is used to assess the level of risk by calculating the RPN (Risk Priority Number) value. The results of the RPN value are then further analyzed using a pareto diagram to identify critical components on the wheel loader. The results of this study show that there are 3 critical components, namely brake components which have an RPN value of 40 with a cumulative percentage of 7%, radiators which have an RPN value of 36 and a cumulative percentage of 14%, and hydraulic hoses which have an RPN of 36 and a cumulative percentage of 21%.
