Abstract

Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) is a collection of symptoms or complaints experienced by residents of modern buildings that a person feels when working or doing activities in the building. This study aims to analyze individual factors and work stress on SBS complaints in office employees at the Steel Fabrication and Construction Company. This study used a cross sectional approach with a total sample of 70 respondents. Data were collected through the distribution of SBS complaint questionnaires, PSS-10 questionnaires for work stress, and secondary data from the company. The results showed that 70% of respondents or 49 people experienced SBS complaints, with the most symptoms being fatigue, drowsiness, and nasal congestion. The factors of age ? 30 years, male gender, working period ? 5 years, smoking habit, and medium work stress have contributed to causing SBS complaints.
