Abstract

Couriers delivering at risk of traffic accidents while working. Behaviour Based Safety is an approach to preventing workplace accidents through behavioral change. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship and influence of Behaviour Based Safety factors on delivery couriers in the East Java region. The population used in this study includes all delivery couriers in the East Java area, with a sample size of 275 individuals. Data was collected using a questionnaire technique that had been tested for validity and reliability. The research results show that the factors related to Behaviour Based Safety are driving duration, which showed a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, and knowledge, which also showed a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. Based on these results, it is expected that various parties—including the government, police, educational institutions, and companies will take part in developing safe driving training programs and increasing awareness about the use of proper driving equipment. In addition, delivery companies are expected to always comply with traffic regulations and procedures.
