Abstract
Lifting and transporting equipment plays a crucial role in industrial production processes, particularly in moving large and heavy materials. Without regular feasibility inspections, the use of such equipment poses a high risk of danger. Conventional methods used for inspection and damage reporting still face numerous challenges, such as the risk of document loss, difficulties in tracking reports, time inefficiencies, and a high potential for human error. Additionally, a slow and unstructured process can lead to delays in decision-making and non-compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Therefore, a digital solution is needed to optimize these processes. With the rapid advancement of digital technology, the transformation to a web-based information system has become a relevant solution to overcome these issues. This study aims to design a responsive web-based information system database for the inspection and damage reporting of lifting and transporting equipment that can effectively and efficiently integrate all related processes. A responsive website is chosen because it can adapt its display across various devices and is more accessible to users. The system design process includes needs analysis, the creation of a use case diagram to illustrate user and system interaction, and the development of an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) to depict the system’s functionality, workflow, and database structure. The system is developed using programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, and is supported by the PHP Laravel framework. Visual Studio Code is used as the development tool, and MySQL is used for the database design.
