Analisis pemborosan pada proses pemberian izin kerja panas menggunakan metode Value Stream Mapping dan Root Cause Analysis
Abstract
The work permit granting system is part of the fulfillment of criteria 6.1.5 in Government Regulation Number 50 of 2012 concerning the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3). This system includes permits for various high-risk activities, such as hot work, confined space, work at height, and use of scaffolding. This study aims to evaluate the suitability of the implementation of the work permit system to applicable regulations, identify waste in the work permit information system flow process, and find the root cause of the waste. The method used is Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for process mapping and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for root cause analysis. The results of this study can provide an overview of the potential for waste and solutions to improve efficiency in the work permit granting information system process. This aims to shorten the making of work permits before high-risk work is carried out. So that if the work permit can be completed immediately, the activity is not delayed so that the work process does not become a barrier to company productivity..
