Perhitungan Waktu Rute Evakuasi Darurat pada Gedung Bertingkat
Abstract
The increasing number of high-rise buildings in Indonesia, especially in big cities, has raised concerns about the safety of their occupants. Frequent cases of fire and earthquakes show the urgency of having an effective evacuation route system. This study was motivated by the fire cases in Mampang Prapatan and the earthquake in the Java Sea, which highlighted the importance of designing building evacuation routes that support fast and safe evacuation. The calculation was carried out based on the SFPE Handbook of Fire Safety Engineering 5th Edition reference, with the aim of finding out how long it takes during the emergency evacuation process. The calculation results show that the evacuation time that takes longer is at R12 via K2, which is 0.89 minutes, while the route via K is 0.3 minutes. This can occur due to several factors, namely the number of occupants or people in each room, the area of ??each room, and the width of the path to be passed.
