Abstract

— The plastic company is one of the largest producers of flexible plastic film products in Indonesia with
marketing that has reached the international domestic market. The flexible packaging films produced are BOPP
(Biaxially-oriented Polypropylene) & PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Film Products. This research was
conducted in the Logistics department. Based on the results of the interview with the head of the logistics
department, there is an increase in the number of employee overtime hours in 2023 with the highest number of
overtime hours of 810 hours due to the large number of tasks that must be completed up to 172 tonnes every day
with the number of existing employees, as well as an increase in the number of work accidents by 5 events. Data
analysis in this study used ordinal logistic regression. Measurement of mental workload using the NASA-TLX
questionnaire, measurement of work stress using a questionnaire from Permenaker No.5 of 2018 and measurement
of performance using the IWPQ questionnaire, while individual factor variables use secondary data from the
agency. The research respondents totalled 36 people. Based on the results of statistical analysis obtained 3
variables that affect performance, namely workload (p-value = 0.090), work stress (p-value = 0.001), and sleep
quality (p-value = 0.003). Recommendations to improve performance due to the influence of workload, work stress
and sleep quality are in accordance with the Hierarchy of control.
