Evaluasi Penataan, Pengemasan dan Pelabelan Limbah B3 pada Perusahaan Karung Plastik
Abstract
The plastic sack packaging company specializes in the production of jumbo bags and woven bags using the main raw materials polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), with a flagship product in the form of Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FBIC), becoming the largest jumbo bag and woven bag company in Indonesia. In addition to its production success, the company produces Hazardous and Toxic Material (B3) waste through the process. Such as used ink packaging, lubricating oil, used fabric, and used air pollution control filters. B3 waste requires temporary storage before further processing. Company documents reveal that B3 waste processing is carried out in collaboration with third parties, with waste stored in Temporary Storage Places (TPS) before being transported. B3 waste management, especially in TPS warehouses, is a serious challenge involving worker safety and environmental sustainability. TPS warehouses play a crucial role in storing, managing and processing hazardous waste to prevent negative impacts on workers and the environment. B3 waste from industry can cause environmental pollution, and if disposed of directly, can endanger the environment, human safety and other organisms. It is hoped that this research can minimize and control the risks and dangers associated with the management of B3 waste in the plastic sack packaging industry.
