Analisis Hubungan Beban Kerja Mental dan Pengawasan terhadap Stres Kerja Pegawai pada Perusahaan Jasa Keuangan di Kabupaten Nganjuk
Abstract
One of the financial service companies in Nganjuk Regency is required to continuously improve its competitiveness to enhance the performance of employees provided to customers. This demand can create pressure for employees. Such work pressure often results in intense workload and long working hours, which can trigger excessive anxiety and potentially lead to work-related stress. Preliminary studies at one of the company's branches in Nganjuk Regency showed that more than half of the respondents experienced severe to very severe work stress. Based on these preliminary study results, further research was conducted on the relationship between mental workload and supervision with work stress experienced by employees of financial service companies in Nganjuk Regency. This study used total sampling techniques with 84 respondents. Data analysis in this study used the chi-square test. Based on the test results, it was found that mental workload had a p-value of 0.001, and supervision had a p-value of 0.006. Thus, it can be stated that mental workload and supervision are related to the work stress experienced by employees of financial service companies in Nganjuk Regency. Some control efforts that can be made to minimize work stress caused by mental workload and supervision include implementing work-life balance, providing social support in the workplace, and enhancing leadership skills of supervisors.
