Faktor-Faktor Yang Berhubungan dengan Keluhan Computer Vision Syndrome pada Pegawai Dinas Tenaga Kerja Kabupaten Gresik
Abstract
The Department of Manpower of Gresik Regency is a government agency responsible for managing the workforce in the Gresik region. In carrying out its functions, this department coordinates policy implementation, provides administrative services, and facilitates workforce-related activities. Document management, both archival and digital data, is a crucial aspect of this department's operations as administrative processes play a significant role here. Employees at the Department of Manpower of Gresik Regency are at risk of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) because almost all of their work activities involve the use of computers or laptops. Based on the survey results using the CVS questionnaire instrument, 73% out of 44 respondents reported experiencing Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) symptoms. The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with CVS complaints among government employees. These factors include computer usage duration, break duration, and viewing distance. Data was collected through individual questionnaires to identify workplace factors and a specialized Computer Vision Syndrome Questionnaire (CVS-Q). Statistical analysis results indicated a relationship between CVS complaints and computer usage duration (p-value = 0.038), break duration (p-value = 0.013), and viewing distance (p-value = 0.033). Recommendations to reduce CVS complaints include reducing computer usage time, installing anti-glare monitor screens, using break reminder applications, implementing the 20-20-20 rule, and considering the use of specialized anti-radiation glasses while working.
