Abstract

Bottled Water Company (AMDK) is a company that processes raw water derived from groundwater, surface water into AMDK that is ready for consumption. Along with the increasing public awareness of health, it is directly proportional to the increasing demand for AMDK, making the company increase production targets. So that production employees are required to work fast and achieve targets.  In this research we focus on the work of finished goods palleting operators where from the process palletizing AMDK bottles into carton boxes and then transferring the filled boxes to finished goods pallets. This study aims to analyze the risk of spinal cord injury related to the work of these operators using the RWL method to determine the recommended load limits that can be lifted by operators. After getting the results of the RWL (Recommended Weight Limit) method, the calculation is carried out (Composite Lifting Index) CLI to determine the amount of deviation raised against the recommended load limit. The results of the study will show the results if LI > 1, the activity contains the risk of spinal injury. Preferably, if LI < 1, the activity does not contain the risk of spinal injury.  If the results of the study show that the work is at risk of spinal injury, then policy changes can be made related to the work. We recommend changing the conveyor design.
