Analisis Pengaruh Beban Kerja Mental, Stres Kerja dan Kualitas Tidur Terhadap Kelelahan Kerja Operator Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) Perusahaan Jasa Peti Kemas
Abstract
Container service companies are companies that provide container terminal facilities for domestic and international trade for commercial/business actors. Container service companies have a number of equipment to support loading and unloading activities. The most loading equipment used in unloading activities is the Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG). Based on the results of an investigation conducted by the company, 70.4% of RTG accidents from 2019 to 2022 were caused by human error. Furthermore, based on a survey survey by measuring fatigue with the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) questionnaire for 30 RTG operators, it was found that 53% of RTG operators experienced high category fatigue. Fatigue in the workplace can affect the effectiveness, productivity and safety of the workforce. This study aims to determine the effect of mental workload, work stress and sleep quality on work fatigue in RTG operators in container service companies. The method used to analyze the influence between variables is the Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) with a sample of 113 RTG operators in container service companies. The results showed that 46% of RTG operators experienced work fatigue in the moderate category. The results showed that mental workload (p-value = 0.000) and work stress (p-value = 0.006) had a significant effect on work fatigue for RTG operators
in container service companies. While the quality of sleep (p-value = 0.446) has no significant effect on work fatigue in RTG operators in container service companies.
