Abstract

According to statistics collected by the KNKT, sinking ships are included in the most shipping

accidents in the last 5 years, which are at risk of happening again, so we must explore what causes ships to sink.  One of them is leakage, if the ship's skin (ship plate) is damaged or leaks, it will cause seawater to enter the room or compartment of the ship. This lasts until a new balance of the ship occurs or until the ship itself sinks due to water ingress. And also negative stability (Unstable Equilibrium) a ship that has negative stability when stinging does not have the ability to straighten back, even the stinging angle will increase, which causes the ship to tilt again and can even become upside down. Or a condition when the ship tilts due to external forces, there is a moment called the moment of succession or healing moment so that the ship will tilt even more. and the method of work begins with the calculation of the tank capacity and piping system after which the drawing is drawn after that the drawing is applied to the real form. And from this case, an adequate ballast system is needed. And in this study described the redesign planning and analysis of bilge and ballast systems on ships where the output is in the form of P&ID and 3D modelling designs and pump specifications in accordance with BKI provisions.
