PERBANDINGAN PENGGUNAAN (EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATING) DAN (DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER) TERHADAP PERFORMA MOTOR DIESEL FOUR-STROKE DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN VARIASI BAHAN BAKAR
Abstract
Diesel motor technology has developed rapidly with innovations and additions of devices to improve efficiency and be environmentally friendly by reducing exhaust emissions. The use of the latest technology such as Exhaust Gas Recirculating (EGR) is a system used to reduce exhaust gas by circulating some of the exhaust gas from the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold with the addition of a valve to regulate the amount of exhaust gas flowed and. Diesel Particular Filter (DPF) is a component located in the exhaust manifold that has a function to capture particles through a filter device in the system. EGR and DPF system will be applied to analyse the performance of diesel motor. Variations in this study are fuel (Bio Solar, Dex Lite, Pertamina Dex) used in the exhaust gas recirculating (EGR) system with a valve opening of 50% and Diesel Particular Filter (DPF) with motor speeds of 1000 RPM, 1200 RPM, and 1400 RPM, loading variations of 2000 watts, 3000 watts, and 4000 watts. The result of this test, the lowest CO emissions are produced by normal condition motors on Pertamina Dex fuel with a value of 246 PPM. In this research, the maximum power and torque values were obtained on Pertamina Dex fuel with EGR of 4.34 kW and 29,62 Nm and a GSFC value of 339 gr/Kwh.
