Abstract
KMP. Cucut has been surveyed by BKI and the results show that the vessel does not meet the fire fighting system standards, because KMP. Cucut only has 1 fire pump, no emergency fire pump and also an insufficient number of hydrants. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct this research to evaluate the existing fire fighting system. The method used in this research is to evaluate the existing P&ID, then make a new P&ID recommendation for the fire fighting system in accordance with BKI Class. Isometric 3D modelling was made to show the piping arrangement of the fire suppression system easily. Calculations need to be done to determine the required pump data. Then the calculation results were obtained for the head losses value of the fire pump of 88 m and the pump capacity of 25m³/h. So that the results obtained pump specifications for fire fighting with centrifugal type, Ebara brand, ENR 40-250 Ø225 model, Head 88 m, capacity 25 m³ / hour. In addition, the same calculation is also carried out for the emergency fire pump, the head losses value of the emergency pump is 70 m and the emergency pump capacity is 0.4 m³ / minute. So that the pump specifications for emergency fire are obtained with a centrifugal type, Ebara brand, FS2JA model 65 x 50, Head 70 m, capacity 0.4 m³/min.
