DESAIN SISTEM KONTROL ALAT PEMBUAT GELOMBANG (WAVE MAKER) UNTUK TIPE PLUNGGER
Abstract
Abstract - The increasing need for energy and the limitations of fossil reSources encourage research related to the development of oscillating water column (OWC) as a new and renewable energy Source. One of the studies aims to design a wave maker control system and a current control system on a laboratory scale, but in smaller dimensions so that the price is more affordable. The wave maker used is prism-shaped. This device has two types, namely plunger and piston types. To generate appropriate waves, the control system is designed with a closed-loop model. two AC motors are controlled using a variable frequency drive (VFD). Each motor is 10 HP. Five frequency variations are used from 10 Hz to 50 Hz. The simulation results show that the optimum frequency for the AC motors is 50 Hz. Wave measurements are made using a camera with image processing and Visual Studio Code software so that it can provide a very fast response. The wave measurement results show an average wave 0.98 m high, 4.34 m long and 4 waves. If the wave results do not match, then re-measurement will be done to obtain the desired waves.Top of FormBottom of Form
