Abstract

Ferry Ro-Ro is ships which is carrying a lot of passanger and land vehicle or cargo on their deck. One of important things in ship’s transportation is an analysis of its longitudinal strength. It is very important because we have to make sure the ships will be safe when sailing. In this analysis of Longitudinal Strength is divided into 3 water conditions there are Still Water, Hogging, and Sagging. The largest values for Bending Moment and Shear Force of ships after modification with LWT are 3015 tonnes .m and 167 tonnes in Sagging conditions, and when the ship is modified with LWT and the cargo is 3946 tonne.m and 212 tonnes in Sagging conditions.
