ANALSIS DEPOSIT WELD METAL DENGAN PRODUK FILLER METAL BERBEDA DAN VARIASI KUAT ARUS TERHADAP KECENDERUNGAN IMPERFECTION, SIFAT MEKANIK, DAN KOMPOSISI KIMIA
Abstract
Filler metal is an important consumable in the welding process. In welding at the company, there are filler metal products that do not include a filler metal factory certificate. The existence of an external certificate allows testing to be carried out to determine the value of the chemical composition and mechanical properties. This research aims to assess the effect of current strength on the imperfection tendencies, chemical composition, and mechanical properties of filler metal products. The filler metal used is E71T-1C. The tests include radiographic, chemical composition, tensile, and impact tests. The radiographic test results showed that product B with a current strength of 200A and product C with a current of 250A contained porosity defects and slag inclusions. The chemical composition test results showed that the highest carbon content in product B with a current strength of 200A was 0.093% and the highest manganese content in product B with a current strength of 250 A was 1.410%. The tensile test results obtained the highest tensile strength value for product B of 545.97 MPa. The highest impact test results were for product A with a current strength of 200 A of 135,333 J so it had the highest toughness value.
