ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN VARIASI DIAMETER ELEKTRODA DAN DIAMETER BAJA PENGELASAN DOUBLE FLARE BEVEL MATERIAL BjTP 280 TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK DAN METALLOGRAPHY
Abstract
The welding process should have a welding procedure, including the welding process on
concrete reinforcing steel for construction reinforcement. In the welding process, a reference is needed
to produce good weld results, called the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS). In this study using
the SMAW process with BjTP 280 material with variations in steel diameter of 19 mm and 25 mm, and
electrode diameters of 2.6 mm, 3.2 mm, and 4.0 mm. The welding position was 1G. The tests were
visual, tensile, hardness, macro, and micro. The actual welding data in this study were entered into the
Procedure Qualification Record. Tensile testing showed that all specimens were accepted according to
AWS D1.4. Specimens with steel diameter variations of 19 mm and 25 mm, and electrode diameters of
2.6 mm, 3.2 mm, and 4.0 mm, produced the highest tensile stress value of 496.08 MPa; and the smallest
was 408 MPa. In the hardness test, the highest value found in the HAZ BjTP 280 with a value of 233.235
kgf/mm2 code A3. And the smallest hardness value found in SA-36 base metal with a value of 132.606
kgf/mm2 with code A2. In the largest Macro test on B1 6.8 mm and the smallest on A1 4.9 mm. In micro
testing the results tend to be the same with ferrite and pearlite structures. The welding parameters
recorded in the preliminary can be used as WPS qualified.
